This is an open trial of our Members' Chat facilities. For a limited time it's open to our guests.

You need any chat client program to be able to use our Chat Area.

If don't have one you can download it from many sites on the Internet. We've listed some of them at the bottom of the page.
As Aussie IDN Chat Server supports Microsoft Comic Chat we suggest Microsoft Comic Chat Client.
However, any standard IRC application will do the trick.

To access Chat Area follow these steps (screen shots and menus are from MS Comic Chat):

1. Enter your Nickname information (your IDN Alias) in View/Options/Personal Info. You
   don't have to enter your Real Name nor your Email address.
   
2. Select Character from View/Options/Personal Info.
3. Connect to Chat Server:
   • Select File/New Connection
   • In Server box enter: www.datenet.com.au
   • In Go to chat room enter: #SydneyCafe
   • Press OK
   • Current Room Password is always listed at the bottom of this page. Enter it when prompted.

   

4. You are now in chat area - HAVE A NICE TIME.
